Our
Story

Over 45 years of artistry, passion, and service in the heart of Beverly Hills.

"Braiding is not just a service. It is a heritage, a relationship, and — when done with intention — a transformation."

— Priscilla, Founder

Beverly Hills,
April 1980

Angel Hair Braids opened its doors in the spring of 1980, during a time when African braiding was rarely found in a Beverly Hills setting — let alone with the level of care and artistry that Priscilla envisioned.

Priscilla had grown up learning braiding as a cultural practice, passed down through generations. Arriving in Beverly Hills, she saw an opportunity to bring this heritage into a refined, intimate salon environment that honored both the tradition and the individual client.

More than four decades later, Angel Hair Braids remains exactly what it was in 1980: a deeply personal, one-on-one experience where the stylist and the client create something beautiful together.

Priscilla

Priscilla is the heart and hands of Angel Hair Braids. Her technique is built on decades of practice and a genuine belief that each client's hair deserves individualized attention — never a one-size-fits-all approach.

She is particularly renowned for her Weave Alternative technique, which she developed for clients who came to her with thinning hair, alopecia, or hair loss from chemotherapy. "No one should feel like beautiful hair is out of reach," she says. "My job is to find the path that works for each person."

Every new client begins with a consultation — Priscilla listens first, assesses second, and braids third. The result is always a style that feels like it was meant for that specific person.

Our Values

01

Personalization Above All

No two clients are the same. No two styles should be either. Every appointment begins with listening — to your vision, your lifestyle, and the unique character of your hair.

02

Heritage & Craft

African braiding is an art form with roots stretching back thousands of years. We honor that lineage in every braid we place — bringing precision, care, and cultural pride to each technique.

03

Inclusivity & Care

Our Weave Alternative technique was created specifically because we believe beautiful hair should be accessible to everyone — including those facing hair loss from illness. This work is personal to us.
